- Volume 1: Sallie Bucher Diary, 1 January 1966–31 December 1970
- This diary generally contains information about Sallie Bucher’s daily life: weather, chores, sewing, and church attendance. Aside from regular entries about daily activities, this diary contains several dates of note. In an entry from 15 April 1966, the author writes that her brother Allen Bucher passed away. On 14 January 1967, Sallie Bucher’s sister Clara Bucher passed away. Another entry dated 19 December 1968 notes the passing of her brother George Bucher. After these losses, subsequent diary entries mention sister Esther Bucher frequently. Oftentimes these entries are about Esther’s teaching career, noting days off or days when Esther returned home early or late from work.
