Brief Description: This collection includes a series of papers, photographs, books, notes, and regalia concerning the daily life and career of Henry K. Ober. Paper materials include biographical information and correspondence from noted individuals John Wanamaker and Thomas Edison, among others. A number of newspaper clippings pertaining to Ober, Elizabethtown College, the Church of the Brethren, and the local area around Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania are included, spanning the years 1919-1951. The newspaper clippings are arranged in scrapbook or collage format on pieces of paper. A leather notebook and daybook belonging to Ober contain information about sermons and other business notes. Also included in this collection is the academic regalia belonging to Ober, doctoral robes with wide, banded sleeves.
